Project Overview

The W3C Test Token Tracker is an internal monitoring dashboard built to check liquidity distributions and testnet ledger actions. It provides on-chain visibility to verify that wallet balances and transaction velocities behave as designed.

The Challenge

Monitoring real-time wallet transactions and token distributions on a novel testnet environment without pre-built block explorers or robust public analytics APIs. Internal operators needed a direct way to visualize distribution behaviors.

The Solution

A prototype tracker that reads the Pi Network testnet transaction history. It processes on-chain ledger entries, extracts token transfer amounts, and presents them on a clean, responsive internal developer dashboard.

As part of W3C Digital Network's commitment to continuous craftsmanship, the following developments are outlined for upcoming deployment loops:

Adding automated SMS or email alerts for large-volume transactions
Connecting a persistent database to cache and index historical transactions

Lessons & Insights

Direct on-chain data tracking requires lightweight processing structures to prevent UI freezing. Debouncing updates and caching transaction blocks keeps the interface highly responsive.
